Summer Playschool for Children Ages (K2)5-14

Summer Playschool is an urban day-camp serving 300 ethnically diverse children, ages (K2) 5-14, from East Boston and the surrounding communities. The approximately 150 children who participate in the Social Center’s school age child care program are automatically enrolled and the program welcomes an additional 150 children.

A low staff to child ratio of 1 to 6 provides as much individual attention as possible to each child. The culturally diverse and multi-lingual school age and summer program staff reflects the diversity of the children of East Boston, and its surrounding communities.

Playschool offers a wide variety of opportunities for children to continue learning throughout the summer months. Learning opportunities include educationally based field trips to a variety of museums and historical landmarks, educational computer games, multicultural exploration, reading programs, social development curriculum, environmental awareness activities, health/wellness curriculum, and so much more.

Regular Hours begin from 8:30am-3:30pm  

Extended Day Hours begin from 3:30pm-5:30pm

The Following Documentation is required for enrollment:

• Participants Birth Certificate
• Parents / Guardians Photo ID
• Copy of child’s health insurance card     

Upon registration the first session must be paid in FULL

Regular session fee is $90.00 and Extended Day fee is $120.00

If you have an unpaid balance for any of our programs, the balance must be paid in FULL before your child can be registered.

There is a $30.00 non– refundable application fee that will be applied and posted to your child’s tuition fee. Should you decide to withdraw your child ; the application fee will not be refundable.

The following payment methods are accepted: Visa, MasterCard, Cash, Personal Checks and Money Orders.
